Wow what an eventful summer! We’ve seen record breaking temperatures, Love Island loyalty like never before and although the football hasn’t come home (yet!), it’s coming home for Raptor.
With the start of the academic year looming, we’ve been gearing up for our busiest time of the year here at Raptor HQ. To celebrate pastures new, and to avoid extinction (pun intended), we’ve decided to overhaul our identity with a complete rebrand and new website to go with it. We are also set to announce a number of seriously exciting new campaigns that our talented, hardworking brand ambassador will be sinking their teeth into come September.
Raptor Marketing has grown from a small ambitious agency, to one of the most well established student brand marketing agencies in the UK. However, we are not ones to settle, and with some exciting plans on the horizon and a change in our attitude, we’re ready to claim the student market as our stomping ground. We are always looking for innovative ways to leave our footprint on the student landscape and propel the brands we work with forward. So we felt it was only right to refresh our own brand to reflect our forward-thinking approach. Our amazing team here at Raptor HQ have worked tirelessly on this, so naturally we hope you appreciate our update (and yes our logo is a little Raptor)!
This summer we have welcomed new account manager Chris Thomas to the team. Having worked for both the Ministry of Sound and the Coalition Agency, Chris brings an abundance of experience to the table, both in and outside of a club environment (we hear he has a mean two-step). We also welcome new Intern Belle Francis. Belle has worked for us as a brand ambassador on a few different campaigns. Her impressive work ethic, can-do attitude and extensive knowledge of the student space has meant she’s been a real standout brand ambassador and is now a real asset to the Raptor team. Of course, the team wouldn’t be complete without the mighty Mackwood, after being away on sabbatical for 3 months in Central America it was a pleasure to welcome Alex back into the team and see him head up some of our major campaigns.
So, with all these new additions to the team we thought it was probably about time we got a new office and stopped annoying everyone in the communal area of WeWork (apologies if you’re reading this!) We are all very much looking forward to our first Friday lock-in… any excuse for a party, right?
So as you will be able to see from being here now, we have just launched our new website. After the spruce up it now delivers our user-friendly ethos at Raptor. We’ve created a new hub of information and inspiration, for both our brands and ambassadors alike. This is something that the team has been working extremely hard on, so please go and check it out! The website will be updated regularly and will also now provide students with the opportunity to become a Raptor. So watch this space!
At Raptor we pride ourselves on having worked with a wide variety of different brands and recognise that every campaign brings a unique opportunity to achieve something different and create something new. In the last few years we have delivered campaigns for big-name brands including Deliveroo, WKD, Soundcloud and Budweiser, which we’ve all been thrilled to work on. However, we don’t pass on any campaigns and cherish the opportunity to set smaller brands on their path to greatness. From September, we will have the pleasure of working with a start-up brand that was named in the top 10 tech companies to watch in 2018.
We are set to get even busier in the office as the University year starts once again in less than a month, we look forward to welcoming back old ambassadors and inviting new ones into our Raptor team. As well as working closely alongside all our brands and partners to be able to meet our goals and have the best year yet.
The Raptor Team x
