Meet Amazing New People
Whilst University is primarily about education and equipping yourself with the knowledge and skills for your working life, it is also about meeting new people, widening your social circle and making friends. Being a brand ambassador is a very social job and it relies on your ability to meet new people and communicate with your peers in an approachable and friendly manner.
Being able to talk to people effectively is also a huge asset in the working world. Regularly meeting new people and networking as part of your brand ambassador role will give you some truly valuable skills that you will be able to use in your future workplace.
It’s a New Experience
University is all about trying new things and pushing you out of your comfort zone so that you grow as a person! New experiences are the key to this process and being a brand ambassador means that you will have lots of opportunities. This includes working in a professional marketing environment, working with inspiring and creative professionals, travelling around the city that you live in, getting to know new people, attending brand awareness events such as festivals, concerts, club nights, and many more.
If you are looking for a varied and exciting part time job whilst you are at university, then being a brand ambassador is the job for you.
Freebies, freebies, freebies!
You have to work for them first, but the great thing about being a brand ambassador is that you will be able to take advantage of the discounts, samples, freebies and anything else that a brand is offering as part of their campaign. Do not worry, this is not taking advantage of the position, we actually like it when our ambassadors sample the products or services that brands are promoting through us.
The way we see it, if you are knowledgeable about the product, then you can effectively help to promote that item to your peers and friends! You will also be able to think of some really cool and unique student marketing ideas!
Valuable Experience for Your CV
If post-university you would like to pursue a career in marketing, digital media, social media, events management or business then this could be a valuable way for you to turn your spare time at University, into exactly the experience and skills that employers look for on your CV. There is a wide range of jobs that come with being a brand ambassador for Raptor and we think that all of them are transferable to your post graduate jobs when you leave university.
As a brand ambassador you might be scheduling content on social media, helping with event planning and management, distributing merchandise, driving sales, meeting with students who will attend the events, and many more key roles. Plus, you are part of a team who will really help to create ideas and strategies for each campaign. You are a student and so you know what students like and are receptive to. Therefore we need your input and ideas for each campaign that we run so we can ensure that it’s successful.
When it comes to applying for those graduate jobs, you will already have a number of months or even years of applicable experience on your CV from a recognisable company. Who knows, you might have already worked with your future boss during one of our campaigns?!
It’s a Paid Job!
Most students take part time jobs whilst they are at university to help fund their living (and leisure) costs, and being a brand ambassador for Raptor means just that. You can have all of the benefits mentioned above – such as gaining skills for your CV, putting yourself one step ahead of the competition, getting freebies, AND you get paid at the same time.
