Showcasing Jägermeister’s ‘Ice Cold’ identity through the striking simplicity of heat
Tasked with reinforcing the 'Ice Cold' shots messaging, Jägermeister’s Global team turned to us to create a high-impact campaign that could cut through the noise of oversaturated social media feeds.
Overview
Our four-year partnership with Jägermeister has been rooted in crafting culturally impactful campaigns that celebrate and highlight the brand’s role in nightlife culture. Leveraging our understanding of their brand and audience, we delivered a visually arresting piece of work that fused the sensory duality of heat and cold with the energy of the party.
Insight + Strategy
Social media feeds are complex and cluttered spaces, making it increasingly difficult for brands to cut through the noise. To overcome this, we developed a simple yet visually striking approach that could stand out amidst the scroll.
Using a thermal camera to reveal invisible energy on the dancefloor, we developed a stylised narrative that aimed to capture the contrast between movement-generated heat and the ice-cold nature of Jägermeister.
Delivery
Shot at the iconic Fabric nightclub in London, we captured the energy of the party through the lens of a thermal T1020 camera, allowing us to portray temperatures visually, with vibrant shades of blue and pink representing the duality of heat and cold.
The video followed two main characters on their respective nights, celebrating both the physical and more emotional aspects of the dancefloor. Alongside their stories, we tracked the classic Jägermeister bottle freezing to -18°C. The narrative climaxes with the two characters connecting and sharing a perfectly chilled shot of Jägermeister.
Motion graphics inspired by thermal imaging science added a layer of dynamic energy, displaying temperature data onscreen and reinforcing the campaign’s ''Ice Cold'' messaging throughout the creative.
Results
By art-directing the campaign through a nostalgic rave lens, we aimed to create a visually striking and emotionally resonant direction that brought the essence of Jägermeister ''Ice Cold'' shots to life.
