Requirement

To launch a SBA Programme in Manchester to establish Depop as the go-to place for students to discover and experiment with style for a price they can afford (buy), but also make money on their own terms (sell).

Response

Raptor launched the #depoponcampusmcr programme to celebrate the unique culture of Manchester and give students the opportunity to have their style, work and Depop shops featured across a series of physical and digital activations.

We recruited a team of Student Brand Ambassadors looking to grow their audiences, meet like-minded sellers and develop their understanding of the app to represent Depop.

Working with a team of student journalists, photographers and designers – we launched On Campus MCR, Depop’s first zine which explored what it means to be a Manchester student and how the city influences fashion consumption and expression.

Distributed across key student hotspots, the zine has been commissioned and directed by students attending University in Manchester.

To give Manchester students the opportunity to experience Depop IRL, we launched the Depop Market MCR which brought to life 26 Manchester based Depop seller shops at Hatch.

The sellers had the opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and grow their audiences across Instagram and Depop. The sellers saw a significant increase in the number of the sales they made on the day, and post event, as their audiences grew.
