Requirement

To celebrate the unique culture of Manchester and give students the opportunity to have their style, work and Depop shops featured across a series of physical and digital activations.

Response

We led a series of activations to establish Depop as a place where students can discover and experiment with their style for a price they can afford (buy), but also make money on their own terms (sell).

We recruited a team of Student Brand Ambassadors looking to grow their audiences, meet like-minded sellers and develop their understanding of the app to represent Depop through a series of physical and digital activations.

So far, we have launched the first edition of On Campus MCR. The first edition in the series represents the best of student style, with a combination of street photography as well as features giving a spotlight on our student ambassador team and how their Depop shops have been influenced by their time at University.

We also launched the Depop Market MCR – giving the opportunity for sellers to bring their Depop shops to life IRL. The event was hosted at Manchester’s Hatch with 26 sellers with a range of styles representing the best Manchester fashion has to offer.
